ANCELLA VINI

There is something new in the sun today, well, something ancient... New is the company, a new entry in the world of wine and among the vineyards in Puglia; but ancient is its name: Ancella wine house.
Its name is ancient, the one of the estate; but also ancient is the same Ancella word, it reminds us of the Greek and Roman maidservants , caring administers, even in that time, the nectars they drank…
Being founded by young wine lovers in order not to waste the old wine traditions, the cultural know how of the native families, the Ancella takes its name from an estate between the area that was the one of theGgreek settlers and the Messapi’s fields, a fertil red soil caressed by the winds of the Jonian Sea and where about twenty seven years ago, the italian  wine growing and producing took place and, where, since more then a century ago, the best Primitivo DOC from Manduria and other DOC wines with a Negroamaro base came to light.
The young boys who gave new life to ancella know the soils, the vineyards and the cultivation and vinification processes pretty well. They intend to put available to nowadays drinkers’  their knowhow in order to let them drink the best wines. With the romanticism whom  makes wine for passion, the experience whom make it for family tradition, the know how whom knows all the modern tecniques.
